On February 22d 2017 from 11 a.m. to 17 p.m. the Export Training "Practical aspects of niche products export (fruits, vegetables and mushrooms) to the EU" took place within the framework of the Farming Technilogies Forum. The training was held by the project Agritrade Ukraine supported by the Ukrainian and international experts.

The main goal of the training was to inform Ukrainian producers about the main aspects of niche products export to the EU as well as to share experience from exporting producers. Among the subjects of the training were:

- How to enter the European market;
- Certification of the production or products;
- How to find a partner;
- Requirements of European retailers to fruits and vegetables;
- First steps of a producer towards the European customer: barriers and challenges.

The experts of the training were Irina Kukhtina, Head of the Innovative Farming and Cooperation, who told about the certification as the main precondition for the EU market entry; Nicolae Balc, representative of BioFrische GmbH (Berlin) with information about the European retailers requirements to niche products. In his turn the expert Taras Bashtannyk, CEO of Ukrainian Berry LLC, who has succesfully exported their products in the last years, shared the export experience of his company.

After the presentations all the participants had the opportunity to talk to the experts and to ask their questions. Besides the Practical Guidelines were handed out during the event.
